Coach Information

Dear 2009 Coaches,

I want to thank you for your interest in coaching our area’s youth soccer players.
We are in the process of building teams and need all coaches registered as volunteers.
Your registration is good for life.  You can register by going to  www.eayso.org  Click on “First Time”, then “Volunteers”.  Enter your information and follow the prompts.  It may take a couple of days for you to be assigned an identification number.  Once assigned, your number can be found by logging in to www.eayso.org , and looking in the lower left hand portion of the welcome page.   Once you are assigned your volunteer number you can proceed with the required short online training courses.

AYSO National has a requirement that everyone working around children complete the “Safe Haven for Coaches” training every year.  Please log on to www.soccer.org  In the top narrow banner of the home page click on “Online Training”.  Select the course.  After it loads you will be asked to enter your AYSO identification number and your last name.  At the conclusion of the course there will be a short quiz.  We also require coaches to take the age appropriate Coach training course (taking higher levels is encouraged).  These courses will provide you with a lot of practical information.

Once again thank you for your willingness to help make South Lake Tahoe a great place for youth.  The administrative issues go quickly and the joy of coaching can last a lifetime.  You may contact me at rswain@cityofslt.us or 542-0275 with any questions.
I look forward to working with you.

Sincerely,

Rob Swain
