2006 Section Conferences
The 2006 Section Conference schedule takes us to San Diego and Honolulu next month. You can register for the Conferences online , view the 2006 Section Conference video , or learn more about one of the most successful new additions to the Section Conference. STREETeam .
NOTE: The Town and Country Resort, host of the San Diego Section Conference, has SOLD OUT of rooms. AYSO has made arrangements for overflow rooms nearby. Check eAYSO or contact the Events department for complete details.
San Diego STREETeam class filled
We have filled all of the spots available for the STREETeam class at the San Diego Section Conference. But there are still opportunities to participate in the STREETeam program in Southern California. Write for more information . There are still spots available at the Honolulu Section Conference.
Special Appearances in San Diego
The Section Conference in San Diego will feature special appearances throughout the weekend:
- Positive Coaching Alliance founder and Executive Director Jim Thompson will be on hand to sign copies of his books " Positive Coaching: Building Character and Self-Esteem Through Sports" and "The Double-Goal Coach" on Friday, April 21, from 2:15-4 p.m.
- Former U.S. Women's Team co-captain Carla Overbeck will make an appearance to sign copies of her new book, "The Soccer Mom's Cookbook," on Saturday, April 22, from 2:30-4 p.m.
All of these books are available for purchase at the AYSO Supply Center .
Proposals for consideration at NAGM now online
The proposed Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2006 is available for your review . Also posted online are the proposed changes in Bylaws and Rules and Regulations . The proposals will be voted on at the 2006 NAGM in Orlando.
The Nominating Commission has released the list of candidates for the National Board of Directors and National President. Election for these positions will be held at the NAGM. Go here to review the lists, see the process for adding candidates to the lists, and other important information.

Deadline for proxies to be received by the NSTC (must be postmarked by May 17, 2006). (NOTE: Executive Members and hand-carried proxies must be registered at the Proxy Check-in desk at the NAGM no later than 1:30 pm on Saturday, May 27, 2006.)
AYSO Soccer Camps 2006 is gearing up for the summer season. Registration is now available in some areas of the country. Keep checking back for more listings.

From now to July 31, 2006, the eAYSO Helpdesk will be manned by a staff member from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. You can e-mail the Helpdesk , or call (866) 588-2976. If your call goes to voice mail, the staff member is either helping another volunteer or momentarily away from the desk. Please leave a voice message with your name, phone number, section, area, region and a brief description of the problem.
The U.S. Soccer Foundation has announced a new Soccer United Recovery Fund shipment of equipment to the Gulf Coast, targeting seven AYSO programs in Alabama, Florida and Louisiana. Read the full story .
Also, efforts continue to collect funds for the AYSO Section One Gulf Coast Hurricane Relief Fund . Section One Director Jeff Hull spoke about the efforts to date at the recent Section Conference in Orlando. Contact Jeff or the AYSO Development department to learn more.

Extended eAYSO Helpdesk hours
From now to July 31, 2006, the eAYSO Helpdesk will be manned by a staff member from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. You can e-mail the Helpdesk , or call (866) 588-2976. If your call goes to voice mail, the staff member is either helping another volunteer or momentarily away from the desk. Please leave a voice message with your name, phone number, section, area, region and a brief description of the problem.

The U.S. Soccer Foundation has announced a new Soccer United Recovery Fund shipment of equipment to the Gulf Coast, targeting seven AYSO programs in Alabama, Florida and Louisiana. Read the full story .

AYSO's Suit Up Program enables members of the AYSO community to donate new and slightly used soccer uniforms and equipment to AYSO regions that are underprivileged, are victims of a disaster or catastrophic loss, or are experiencing a significant hardship.
